We have been given the honor of working with some of the very best lines of Poodles in the world. Our boys have at least one AKC title and health testing done before they are available to girls outside of our own breeding program. Each boy is an outstanding example of everything a Miniature Poodle should be in type, structure, temperament and health.
Your girl must be an AKC Miniature Poodle. Seems silly to have to say that, but Miniature Poodles are very popular among the "doodle" breeders - we don't do that! Your girl needs to be of the very best breeding quality - generally that means she's an AKC champion as minimum. She must be healthy - health test and exams must be current. She must also be compatible with our boys. A girl could be quite lovely and worthy of being bred, but may do better being bred to another boy - it's best to be honest about things like that.
Breeding dogs is a partnership - not just of the dogs, but of people. In order for us to be partners in a litter (breeder/stud owner), we must have common goals and agree on basic breeding ethics. For me this means breeding AKC show quality puppies who exude correct type and are sound in health, structure and temperament. I never want a puppy out of my line bred to dog who doesn't meet the AKC standard for Miniature Poodles Yes, this means no Multicolored or inter-variety breeding not just with my boys, but with the future puppies from this partnership.
